DHACA has been invited by the British Standards Institute to represent the interests of users of healthcare technologies in standards-setting discussions. Clearly there is no desire to replicate the excellent work already under way by, for example, Continua and Brunel University, so we will be seeking members’ views on priorities before we decide on the extent and the focus of appropriate activities. In the meantime, we will be seeking BSI advice on standards under discussion and flagging them up on this site.
Membership Membership of DHACA continues to rise – we now have over 122 members, from approximately 100 different private, public and third sector organisations EU Green Paper on mHealth 14 people responded to my original mailing as having a sufficient interest in responding to the EU Green Paper on mHealth to want to meet to discuss it. A meeting is now planned for the afternoon of 27th May, at the Digital Television Group offices at 5th Floor, 89 Albert Embankment, Vauxhall, London, SE1 7TP. DHACA will be at the NHS Innovation Expo on the 4 March at Manchester Central Convention centre. You can meet us on the SBRI Healthcare stand (stand A18).
