Events allow us to network with industry peers, develop new partnerships and increase the profile of DHACA. See below for a list of events that we are currently either hosting or participating in:
DHACA Day IX
29 June 2016 @ 9:30am - 4:30pm
The next DHACA Day will focus on apps.
I have invited Alex Denoon, a lawyer who is advising the EU parliament on medical device-related legislation to present to us on the upcoming changes in both medical devices (the new Regulations, including for in vitro devices, expected in 2019) and the GDPR (coming into force in 2018).
I have also invited Alexia Tonnel, Director of Information Resources at NICE and Diarmaid Crean, Deputy Director, Digital at Public Health England – the two are managing the development of stages 3&4, and 1&2 of the NIB 1.2 app assessment process respectively
Tara Donnelly, Chief Executive of the Health Innovation Network has kindly agreed to present to us on work she is doing in South London prescribing apps, and John Eaglesham will be presenting on the Painsense app prescription in Leeds which has now really taken off.
I will be presenting to you too, on the development of the EU voluntary assessment guidelines which I am participating in the writing of.
As all apps rely on successful behaviour change, Chris Holmes from the charity C3 has also kindly agreed to present to us on this topic (he has also assembled a group of some 200 behaviour change experts from across the EU and is wondering if DHACA would be interested in working more closely with them in the future).
Finally of course we have our very own SIGs – most notably on IoT Security and mHealth Apps, and there may just be some news soon on the dallas evaluation so it will be a busy – and hopefully very useful – members’ day.
As I get responses so I will finalise the agenda – we aim for a 9.30am for 10am start and a 4.30pm close..
We already have a few people signed up and the Catapult Centre has a strict limit of 70 people so as we sold out last time we went there, can I suggest that if you want to come you sign up soon?
