11 January 2016 @ 9:30am - 4:30pm

The next DHACA day will be on 11th January at the Digital Catapult Centre, 101 Euston Rd. NW1 2RA, You are welcome to arrive from 9.30, Proceedings will begin promptly at 10am and end at 4.30pm at the latest.
We are still finalising the timing of the agenda, however the following have kindly agreed to present:

Deborah El-Sayed, Head of multi-channel development for NHS 111, will talk about NIB Workstream 1.1 – Enable me to make the right health and care choices – an area of really key importance to DHACA members as this is where patients will increasingly interface with the NHS electronically. This will include a discussion when attendees can raise key issues with Deborah, and the Workstream more generally.

There will be a similar arrangement for a senior member of the Accelerated Access Review team who will be joining us to talk about their principal findings to date for the Digital Health Stream, and again attendees will be able to raise issues.

We will also have a presentation and a short video on the dallas programme, recently ended, including information on how DHACA members can access key learnings from the programme (which will be available on the DHACA website).

If time permits we will also cover Workstream 1.2 – specifically the app certification and endorsement processes.

Finally Ian McNicholl, from handi, will give a presentation on interoperability, yet another area of great importance to DHACA members, with a view to fostering closer working with that organisation.

After lunch we will be seeking members’ view on key priorities that DHACA should be addressing for 2016 following the successful publication of our 44-page summary of the commissioning, development and acquisition processes for medical apps.

In particular, Paul Thomas of Microsoft is keen for views on how to take the Wearables Special Interest Group forwards, and Hugo Vaughan of Glue Reply is keen to get the Internet of Things Security SIG firing on all cylinders.

So, an exciting day in a fabulous location overlooking one of the nicest parts of London: a great way to start 2016!

Booking is here. We still unfortunately have to charge for refreshments, though I do hope the £25 entry charge (+VAT) does not put you off.

I hope to see you on 11th January if not before, and in the meantime wish you Seasons Greetings and a great 2016!
