Continuing the theme of remote consultation explored in detail in Webinar IV and Webinar V, the purpose of this webinar was to discuss point-of-care testing in the home that might normally be done in a clinical setting. I was therefore delighted that we had a panel of four people who are experts in this area. In each case we endeavoured to draw out how much could be done without a need for face:face clinical consultation, what the challenges were, and what the benefits are. The presenters are:
Introduction and policy background: Anne Pullyblank, Medical Director, West of England Academic Health Science Network (no presentastion)
Dermatology: Neil Daly – CEO, Skin Analytics
Urine: Andrew Botham – Co-founder and CSO, Testcard
Blood: Dr Sam Rogers, Medical Director, Medichecks (presentation still awaited)
A recording of the webinar is here.
Disclosure: Charles Lowe, who organised this event and will introduce it and the speakers, has accepted an invitation to join the Advisory Board of Testcard.
